Richmond, Virginia – October 12, 2022 – The State of Michigan’s Department of Technology, Management & Budget (DTMB) awards Genesis Consulting Partners a contract to provide Agile Transformation, Training and Coaching Services. The contract was recently approved by Michigan’s State Administrative Board and is comprised of an initial one (1) base period with two (2) additional one (1) Year Periods.
The Contract was awarded by the State’s Joint Evaluation Committee based on a Best Value approach. The Best Value was determined by considering bidders offering the best combination of factors stated in the Evaluation Process along with overall price. Ultimately, the State found that Genesis Consulting Partners provided the best value to the State expressing that “Genesis understood the Structure Scalability more than other vendors.”
The State’s intention is to leverage the contract in order to establish a consistent framework for Agile training, consulting/coaching and transformation. This includes training and coaching across multiple levels of the organization ranging from Senior Executives to Agile development teams. The State wishes to enhance the skills needed to drive a culture of sustainable transformation that engages and empowers employees and that encourages innovation and results.
The contract establishes a framework for continued Agile adoption and utilization at the administrative and executive levels of the State government. The results of this work will enable the State to establish a self-sustaining agile culture and drive continuous improvement.
The State also seeks to re-enforce Agile Transformation and associated Organizational Change Management Initiative, as well as of Executive Directive 2019 – 9. This will strengthen the State of Michigan’s foothold as a model of excellence in the rollout/implementations and industry best practices for Informational Technology Agile Development.
Genesis will work with DTMB on creating an Agile Center of Excellence and Program Management Office (PMO) which will be the governing body for requests to utilize this contract and other Informational Technology Agile Development related services.
This recent award compliments a variety of other similar State & Local contracts Genesis has recently been awarded.
