Following the award of a multi-year Prime contract with the State of Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), Genesis Consulting Partners has won the first and third work orders issued for the development of the State’s iServe Portal. The overarching purpose of the prime contract includes providing Nebraska DHHS agile application development services to implement an enhanced consumer/citizen benefits portal (iServe Nebraska Portal), as well as modernizing some legacy services.

In the coming weeks, Genesis will onramp between three to four cross functional Agile development teams totaling 30-40 full-time dedicated consultants. The teams will integrate with the state’s employees to create the agile application development powerhouse needed to deliver the iServe Nebraska Portal. Working in unison, these teams will use Agile best practices to provide new services and enhancements across six service areas:
User research and human-centered design
Agile application development services
Agile application warranty services
Platform development and architecture runway
DevOps, Continuous Integration and Continuous Development services
Legacy Modernization and modularization services
The program intends to improve access, outcomes, user experience, accountability and quality of DHHS services through enabling an integrated, consumer-centric model of practice, across all DHHS programs through the iServe Nebraska Platform. The iServe Nebraska Platform is an information and technology platform supporting Integrated Benefits Eligibility and Enrollment Management functionality. The iServe Nebraska Portal is an unconditional technology component of the overall platform. This cloud-based service will act to provide a user-friendly and streamlined experience for Nebraskans to interact with DHHS to receive assistance through Federal and State benefit programs.
