Jamillah Smith is the Controller at Genesis Consulting.  She has over 17 years of experience in corporate accounting and possess strong accounting skills in analytics, data management and accounting principles.  

Jamillah has a wealth of knowledge and experience in the Information and Technology Industry, having held the positions of Senior Accountant and Director of Accounting with PlanIT group for over 7 years. In her latter role, she managed all accounting functions, reporting, operations, and compliance to meet the organization's financial objectives.  

Jamillah has held several other managerial positions in her career path, such as Assistant Controller and Accounting Manager.  She is experienced in accounting systems implementation, streamlining processes and creating internal processes that assist with the company's overall strategic financial decisions.

Jamillah holds both a Bachelor’s and Master's Degree in Accounting from Florida International University Miami Florida, where she graduated in 2004.  She is a member of Beta Alpha Psi, an international honor society for Accounting, Finance and Information System graduates.  

Jamillah enjoys working out, spending time with her daughter, husband and family, playing board games, exploring new foods and wines and assisting families in need.
