Cameron Chaplin
Chief Financial Officer
Cameron Chaplin joined Genesis in 2013 as Vice President of Finance and Operations. In this role, Cameron has been responsible for the overall financial strategy and direction at Genesis, as well as human resources, business operations, compliance, and contract administration. Cameron has lead the organization’s treasury, accounting, tax, and internal audit functions as well as expansion and acquisition strategy in pursuit of the company’s aggressive growth plan to meet its clients’ and investors’ expectations. Cameron was promoted to Chief Financial Officer in 2018.
Prior to joining Genesis, Cameron held several Finance, Director and Vice President roles with various organizations providing services such as Management Consulting, eDiscovery, Managed Solutions, Merchant Processing, Legal staffing, IT staffing, and Financial Consulting. Throughout his career in accounting, auditing and financial planning, Cameron has established a reputation for aligning financial and business metrics to support business strategy, high-growth, along with equity event planning.
Cameron was also a member of the senior leadership team for a Virginia based private equity group which invested in, incubated, and successfully exited, a portfolio of over eight companies throughout the course of its operations.
Cameron holds a BS in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting and Finance as well as Philosophy and Religious Studies from Christopher Newport University.
