Mary serves as Managing Partner and focuses on new business development. She is no stranger to the effectiveness of well-organized and planned business development and is widely respected for her integrity and commitment to quality service.
Prior to launching Genesis Consulting, Mary was a partner in a string of successful technology firms and excelled during one surprising deviation: a line of apparel. In 1993, Mary worked alongside Genesis founding partner, Karen Adams, to launch Computer Professionals, Inc. – a technology consulting firm that was later acquired by a public company in 1995. Mary and her partners developed Tekna as a cutting-edge Web technology platform until it was acquired by a public firm in 1998 and IPO’d the following year.
In addition to her many businesses successes, Mary has also been an active supporter of many community organizations and activities. She has served on the Board of the Senior Center of Richmond and as Honorary Chair for Cystic Fibrosis’ A Starry Night event, a a Co-Chair for the World Pediatric Project Treasures in Paradise fundraising event as well as St. Andrews School Learn to Dream fundraising event. She has also served on several Steering Committees for the Richmond Ballet, hosted fundraising events for The Sacred Heart Center, and participated in numerous mission trips to Honduras.
