Karen Booth Adams serves as Managing Partner, creative visionary and business strategist for Genesis. She brings a wealth of knowledge, entrepreneurial expertise, and a proven “Midas touch” to the business. Karen is also a partner in five successful firms based in Richmond. She is an investor in Ironworks Consulting, a project-based consulting firm and works closely with Genesis Consulting, RaceIt.com, and PartnerJD as an investor and advisor. Karen is an active angel investor and entrepreneurial advocate in the community.
Her previous entrepreneurial successes include Computer Professionals, Inc. (CPi), which was acquired in 1993 by Modis. Her second venture, Tekna, an internet development company, was acquired by a larger national firm and IPO’d the following year. Karen’s ever-popular, e-tail site PoshTots.com followed suit and was acquired by a public firm in 2006. Karen is an active community member and has served as a visiting professor on the subject of entrepreneurship for five years at the University of Richmond. She is an experienced speaker on the subject of successful entrepreneurship and buying and selling businesses. Karen has served as a board member for several nonprofit organizations and is a current member of the Executive Advisory Council for the University of Richmond. She is a 1990 graduate of the University of Virginia.
